Decided to give it go at drawing Clive after finishing watching his story. In similar vein to my star wars stuff, I used him as a vechicle to start using video game screen captures as reference shots to see how I translate 3D gaming graphics to the pencil & paper, except actually doing it.
My biggest challenge was the hair. I drew his face like two time before getting destroyed when it came to the hair but I somehow got it. I also had to approach drawing his face differently. Normally I start with drawing both eyes, the nose, then start drawing the forehead & lower part of the hair; but I ending up drawing clockwise from right side of the face till I got to the left eye. My biggest fear was that I was going to waste the attempt by having the eyes to out of place in relation to each other, but I think I did well. The darkest parts were done in charcoal. I intended for the hair above the middle portion of the forehead to be much darker than what I got, but the lighter grey result is better in my opinion. When I started my journey in the arts, different colored lips were also my bane like hair and I am glad that I did them good enough not look like over exaggerated body parts. The facial hair was done through phases of shading and erasing in an attempt to create smoother transition between the lightly haired and bushier parts of his mustache and beard.

Overall I am happy with the end result.
