Star Wars Summer 2025: Basko, San Hill, & Din Grogu

I really like this batch. I think I am improving with drawing clothing materials.

With Basko, the shading is what makes the result for me. The biggest challenge was his nose & bridge.

With San Hill bring out his features was a different issue as he was purely defined by shadows & had a greater range of greys & blacks that I needed to put on paper. One thing I need to focus on in the future is how I address skin folds.

Grogu was harder than I thought. Up close he is more than just green skin, he has some browns as well. So it was not just shadows, but other colors as well that do not impart a strong contrast like with Basko's dark head fins. For that reason, I focused on his face and dropped trying to draw his cloak. He has the best eyes of the bunch for sure, but the ears are a bit off for me.
