Rock Slice

While taking a break from character design work/study, I drew a couple of environment shots. From there I did painted versions of them. While removing access paint from the canvas to let it dry quicker, the combination of colors reminded me of clouds in sunset/dusk, so I decided to try painting clouds again in the manner. It didn't turn out like how I like and decided to remove the paint. This was the result and my new personal favorite. I called it Rock Slice because it reminded me of an unpolished rock with gemstones & crystals cut in half. Another reaction was that they saw claws. Now I am seeing rust. This is all acrylic paint.
